Lee played college basketball for three seasons at Vanderbilt University. He joined the Vanderbilt Commodores for the 2017-2018 season and played through the 2019-2020 season before he declared for the NBA Draft. He was selected as the 38th overall pick by the Utah Jazz in the 2020 NBA Draft.
