Dewayne played college basketball for two seasons at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California and another two seasons at the University of Southern California (USC). He played for the USC Trojans from 2011 to 2013 before declaring for the NBA Draft. He went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft, but the Golden State Warriors later signed him to give him a chance to play in the league.

In the NBA, he last played for the Philadelphia 76ers and is currently in the Free Agency market.
